WHAT AN INCREDIBLE YEAR IN 2014 FOR THE ADOPT A FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS.
IT WAS ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS! THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED THE PROGRAM AND OUR CAUSE!
The Adopt a Family for Christmas 2014 was another huge success and we hit another milestone. With the help of family sponsors 220 families with 575 children received support through our Christmas Program.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
Once again we could not have provided the memorable Christmas to all of these families and their children without the help of our family sponsors, and especially our large/multiple family sponsors. Not only that, the Adopt a Family for Christmas Program has expanded its service area beyond the state of Ohio with the help of Purolater International who supported 10 families in the state of New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Indiana, New York and Pennsylvania. The Adopt a Family Association greatly appreciate their support for our program and with their participation, we have now gone national and with that support of potential family sponsors outside of the Ohio, we will be able to help more families in need during the holiday season.
The Adopt a Family Association would like to express its sincere gratitude and support from all of the employees at WKYC, Channel 3 for sponsoring 4 families in the Cleveland area and their future participation in the Christmas program in 2015.
Madeline Medley, Executive Director of the Adopt a Family Association had the privilege to be ask for an interview at their station regarding our programs and WKYC's delivery to the families they adopted for Christmas. Interview and deliveries to the families airing links:

We want to thank Ganley Dealerships again for their support in the Adopt a Family Association. The Ganley Dealerships in the Northeastern Ohio area adopted 9 local families in areas where they have car dealerships in northern Ohio. We also express our gratitude for their involvement in our program and for their mentioning the Adopt a Family Association in a Plain Dealer interview regarding Ganley's commitment to help those in several communities. Thanks to all of family sponsors who made this last holiday season, something to remember.
Bless You all..!
The Adopt a Family Association was created to provide a short-term safety net and temporary caring support to Greater Cleveland area families in crisis working to maintain a stable home environment for their children as they overcome traumatic socioeconomic circumstances. Since 1996, we have helped hundreds of families and their children by provided them with Christmas toys, food, clothing, furniture, beds or other services selected to meet specific identified needs.
Every year we hear about a family that has fallen on hard times due to recent loss of employment, taking care of sick child or an unforeseen financial hardship that plagued them just before the holidays. Whatever the reason, we try to help those who may need assistance during the holiday season. Through the Adopt a Family for Christmas Program these families are matched with potential family sponsors who would like to provide these families in our community with the spirit of Christmas.
Referrals to the Adopt a Family Association from area churches, friends, neighbors and other organizations including the Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Salvation Army, 211 United Way, the City of Cleveland and other local and county agencies with families needing help during this holiday season increased tremendously. With the economic downturn moving slowly to an upward position and improved economy, it has affected all of us in some form or fashion. But for many of us not to the extremes these families are suffering.
Confronting poverty face-to-face has inspired volunteers to help the children in our community and for the Adopt a Family to secure its 501c (3) accreditation during 2007 as part of its strategic effort to become a not for profit organization.
If you or your group would like to sponsor a family for the holidays, please go to our Sponsor Page for information as to what you need to know about sponsoring/adopting a family.
